Janice Carol Fritch passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023. She died peacefully after a brave struggle recently with her health. She was preceded by her parents, Grant and Zelma Fritch; and six brothers and sisters.

Janice was born March 31, 1940 in Imlay City, MI where she lived her entire life. After graduating from high school, Jan worked in many accounting and banking positions. Retiring in 2002, she lived her remaining years caring for family and friends. Janice lived her faith by doing for others.

For many years she was the organist and choir Director of the First Baptist Church of Imlay City. She was well known for her beautiful, soprano voice. She was always looking for ways to show love in the world, from her beautiful homemade birthday cards to working with a local group of women in making hundreds of beautiful t-shirt dresses for girls and young women in Malawi, (west) Africa as part of Little Dresses for Africa and Hope Endeavors.

She had no children, but loved and was loved by dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved unconditionally and lived her faith with action as well as kind words. Her friends and family will remember her for quiet and constant love.

A visitation/open house to celebrate her life was held at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI Saturday, January 21. A short service followed.

Memorials will be collected for Little Dresses for Africa (http://www.ldfaconnect.com/).
