CAPAC — Capac outlasted visiting Marlette, 32-29, in a Greater Thumb Conference East varsity boys’ basketball meeting last Friday night.

With the outcome, Capac moves to 3-6 and 1-1.

In Friday’s meeting, Capac grabbed a 5-4 edge after one quarter was complete.

Quarter two saw both teams hit for nine points, leaving Capac up 14-13 at the halftime break.

When the action resumed, Capac struck with a 13-8 third quarter edge. That staked them to a 27-21 advantage with 24 minutes gone.

Marlette then outscored Capac 8-5 from that point on, only to drop a 32-29 outcome at night’s end.

Wyatt Hurley (13) and Nolan Maday (12, including a trifecta) supplied Capac’s top point totals. They were given assistance in the scoring department by Wiley Roose (four points), Joe Dalessandro (two) and Conner Clark (one).
