Dear Editor,

The Imlay City Eagles have been on a roll.

Early December 2022, Imlay City Eagles #4082, aerie, auxiliary and Eagle Riders were able to present three checks to our own Imlay City Police Department for their cause.

A special thank you to Betty Rozek, for representing the club for us.

Then on December 10, Imlay City Eagles held a Children’s Christmas Fundraiser. It was a $10 gift donation or donation of $10 for the meal.

We had donations of six different kinds of soups, grilled cheese sandwiches, subs and desserts. All raffle and auction items were donated.

Thank you to all members that donated their time, food, money, and items for raffles or to be auctioned off.

We had a Chinese Auction, Silent Auction, Live Auction, 50/50 and containers of toys for Holiday Depot.

A big thank you to the following individuals and businesses who made this happen: Chairperson Betty Mason, Susan Sump, Dave Sump, Mary Ferris, Meg Thomas, Pat Arnaud, Dawn Crawford, Karla Dahn, Donna Broda, Danielle Dipka, Steve Depa, Bill and Bonnie, Denese Richmond, Betty Rozek, Dan and Andrea Shephard, Cathy Schenk, Sue Taylor, Honour Stoutenburg, Deb Hopp, Melissa Brousseau, Ryan Good, Marty and Tammy Jurn, Audrey Woodruff, Die-Tech, Marjeanne’s Creations, Bellow Woods, Jet’s Pizza, Bomb Burgers, Glamour Paws, Dryden Bar & Grill, Mill Street Station, Imlay City Bowling Strikes, Treve’s Pizza, La Borans and Pennzoil.

We appreciate everyone’s time and donations. If we forgot to mention your name, we are sorry. Also thank you to the ones that attended it! On Dec. 21-22, we were able to present checks to Lois Woodworth (for her Foster Kids Christmas) and to Justice for Lily.

They each received a check for $1,288 from our Children’s Fundraiser.

Also, on Dec. 21-22, we were able to fulfill nine food baskets for families in need and gifts for the ones that had children.

We could not have done this without all your help and participation.

Thank you to everyone that donated money, food, gifts and hat/gloves. The rest of the hats will be donated to different schools.

Thank you to our grocery shoppers, we had six carts full of food. Thank you to our Chair, Betty Rozek, Denese Shipman, Kelly Nagy Cramer, Ruby Rutherford, Pat Hunter Arnaud and Zoey and Betty Mason.

Again, a success. This is what the Eagles are about. People Helping People.
