IMLAY CITY — Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce has elected Melissa Barrow to a seat on the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Barrow has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration and a master’s degree in Business Administration.
Having grown up in Imlay City, she and her husband have raised three children in the community.
For the past seven years Barrow has served as business administrator at the Imlay City Family Practice.
“Over the course of my employment, we have seen significant growth, notably, in a time where most private medical organizations are selling out to large hospital organizations,” Barrow said. “Most recently, I managed our 5,000-square-foot expansion and secured Health Quest Physical Therapy as tenants in the lease space next door.”
A member of the American College of Health Care Executives, she is currently preparing to become Board certified with FACHE credentials in Healthcare Management.
Barrow also owns a small business marketing company, MelBarr Solutions, LLC.
“I am passionate about small business growth and development,” she said. “I believe that to stay ahead in anything, you must be committed to learning.
“I am excited to serve on the Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors to help promote the City of Imlay City and the businesses in and around the community.”
