Eileen O’Hanlon, age 85, formerly of Madison Heights, MI passed Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Serene Gardens Assisted Living in Imlay City, MI.
Eileen Joan Hill was born September 20, 1937 in Berkley, MI. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Dorothy (Muir) Hill. Eileen grew up in Berkley, MI attending Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic School then graduated Berkley High School, Class of 1955. She married Edward Joseph O’Hanlon, Sr. on May 18, 1957. Ed passed on January 25, 2022.
Eileen attended Ross Medical Education Center to become a Medical Assistant. She was employed by Troy Industrial Clinic and retired after 20 years. After retiring she spent time painting, sewing, reading, riding her bike to exercise at Curves and bargain shopping at her favorite spots. She enjoyed spoiling her pets, spending time with family and was an avid Red Wings fan. Her gentle, kind and loving presence will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Eileen is survived by her daughters, Kim O’Hanlon (Frank Liponoga) of Burtchville, MI and Colleen Zdeb (Frank) of Burton, MI; her sons, Edward (Kim) O’Hanlon Jr. of Southfield, MI, Daniel (Lori) O’Hanlon of Deltona, FL and Thomas (Judy) O’Hanlon of Freeland, MI; her siblings, Margaret (Cliff) Warren of Columbiaville, MI, Terri Hill of Warren, MI and Richard Hill of Casa Grande, AZ. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; and sister, Penny Moran.
She will be placed to rest with her husband at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
A celebration of her life will be announced at a future date.
