Claudia J. Hintz, age 73, a lifelong Almont resident, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital. Claudia was born on February 16, 1949, the daughter of Claude and Christina (Sanday) Pilgrim. She married Donald Hintz in 1965 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Utica, MI.
Claudia worked at Cranbrook Daycare for many years. She also worked as a paraprofessional in Almont Schools.
Claudia is survived by her husband Donald, of Almont; her children, Cindy (Woody) Akers of Almont, and Duane Hintz of Almont; siblings, Bud (Liz) Pilgrim, and Bobby Sue (Dave) DeMara; also grand-children, Michelle (Chris) Carriveau, Ashley (Nate) Murray, Kayla (Gabe Logiudice) Akers, and Amber Hintz; as well as great-grandchildren Kolton, Zane, Audria and Myles. Claudia was preceded in death by parents, Claude and Christine Pilgrim; sister, Sandra Schoonover; and daughter-in-law, Deanna Hintz.
Funeral services took place on Monday, November 28, 2022 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
