IMLAY CITY — Elizabeth Sliman, a 2022 graduate of Imlay City High School, excelled for St. Clair County Community College’s team last Saturday at the NJCAA Women’s Division 2 Cross Country Championships.
Apalachee Regional Park, in Tallahassee, Florida, is where the action unfolded.
Sliman, a freshman, required 21:26.1 to go the distance. That enabled her to earn a 68th-place showing.
Coconino Community College freshman Hayley Burns was the race pacesetter. She required 18:22.8 to accomplish the feat.
A total of 218 competitors finished the race over 5,000 meters.
