All vets, public servants invited to lunch from 10-3 on Nov. 11
IMLAY CITY — Are you a veteran, active duty military or a public servant with no place to go on Veterans Day?
Consider yourself officially invited to the Imlay City VFW Post #2492 annual “Veterans Day Luncheon” at the post home behind the Tri-City Times offices.
Post Commander Bob Conrad said the hall will be open from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 for lunch; to include chili, hot dogs, soft drinks, patriotic music and movies and fraternization.
“We want to roll out the welcome mat for everyone who serves in our local communities,” Conrad said. “That includes police, firefighters, Sheriff’s deputies, EMS, and our DPW and city employees.
“This is an opportunity for us to thank everyone for their dedication and service to the greater community.”
As a matter of note, the Post 2492 Auxiliary will soon be selling Christmas wreaths and garland for the upcoming holiday season.
