Police agencies discover a large quanity of meth, paraphernalia

 

ST. CLAIR COUNTY — Sheriff Mat King reported this week that the St. Clair County Drug Task Force has shut down a methamphetamine operation in the Port Huron area.

King said that at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 20, officers from the Drug Task Force, Port Huron Police Dept., and U.S. Border patrol participated in a search and seizure in the 700 block of Erie St.

Officers arrested William Dale Gault, 51, who was charged with possession of controlled substances, the intent to distribute the substances, and maintaining a drug house.

King reported that among the seized items were a dealer quantity of methamphetamine, drug packaging, a scale and a quantity U.S. currency.

King said Gault is currently being held in the St. Clair County Jail, with bond set at $25,000.
