Nathan Allen Greathouse passed away in an accident on September 2, 2022, near Portland OR. He was 38 years old. Nathan grew up in Almont, MI, where his family still resides. He attended Almont schools.
Nathan was born March 23, 1984. He was a very gifted artist and skilled with drawing. Nathan loved to cook and enjoyed entertaining friends by having a group over for dinner. He also enjoyed games, particularly video games. He especially liked to win. Nathan was a people person who never met a stranger. He made friends easily. And Nathan never gave up. In recent years he was hoping to soon be able to come back to his Michigan home and see the people he most cared about, but that was not to be. Nathan was deeply loved by his family, and they grieve his loss.
Nathan is survived by his father, Vincent Blaine Greathouse; and his sister, Sabrina Greathouse; along with three nieces, Rhianne, Faith and Alva. Nathan had three children, Devon, Aviva and Shaun Greathouse. He is also survived by several aunts and cousins. Preceding him in death are his mother, Linda (Fackler) Villarreal; and grandparents, Jerry and Alva Greathouse.
The memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Almont on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 3 p.m. with Pastor William King officiating. Visitation will be held that same day at the church from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Almont.
