A beautiful soul has gone to Heaven. Joycelyn Carrol (Garbutt) Hagner is now with her beloved Jesus. Joyce was 82 years old. She was born to Herbert and Vera Garbutt on January 26, 1940 in Detroit, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Arden Hagner.

Joyce lived her life as a born-again Christian in service to God, her family and her church where she played the piano for several years. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, reading, crocheting, homemaking, swimming in her pool and finding a good bargain. She volunteered at Project Blessing in Brown City. She was loved and will be missed by many.

Joyce is survived by her three daughters, Sherry (Hagner) Osborne, Natalie Hagner and Nancy Hagner-Sullivan; two sons-in-law, Robert Osborne and Russ Mandle; seven grandchildren, Tim York, Alecia Parks, Magen (Parks) Ruby, Emily Hagner, Joe Hagner, Callah Sullivan and Jake Sullivan; seven great-grandchildren, Beau Cournaya, Dylan Ruby, Reece Parks, Dalis Ruby, Presley Ruby, Henry Ruby and Claire York. Joyce also leaves two great-great-grandchildren, Gracelynn and Jocelyn Cournaya.

A memorial service will be held at the Brown City United Methodist Church on October 18, 2022 at 1 p.m.
