TRI-CITY AREA — The Imlay City and Almont girls’ cross country squads took fifth and seventh, respectively, at a Blue Water Area Conference Jamboree Meet on Tuesday, September 13.
Castle Creek Golf Club, in Lum, is where the meet unfolded.
Cros-Lex (30 points) won the team title. They were followed by Armada (46 points), Richmond (84), North Branch (93), Imlay City (102), Yale (191), Almont (195) and Algonac (197).
Jenna Denver, 10th, 22:23.91; logged the quickest Imlay City clocking. She was backed by Charlotte O’Brien, 11th, 22:33.66; Laela Bhatti, 22nd, 23:33.5; Lauryn Donahue, 27th, 23:49.4; and Sarah Lauwers, 34th, 24:08.36.
Laila Evola, 33rd, 24:05.81; paced Almont. The Raiders also counted results from Ayla DeLaurier, 39th, 24:29.47; Savanna Siewert, 68th, 24:38.1; Montserrat Coronel, 50th, 26:23.5; and Jacqueline Coronel, 53rd, 26:44.28.
