German festival from 6 – midnight Saturday, Oct. 15 at fairgrounds
IMLAY CITY — It’s time to don your best lederhosen or drindl to celebrate the Imlay City Rotary Club and Eastern Michigan State Fair’s “Oktoberfest” celebration at the fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct. 15
From 6 p.m. to midnight., all are invited to step inside the “grand beer hall,” where you can enjoy some traditional German cuisine, music and dancing, and of course an appropriate fill of cold beverages.
The event will also feature multiple contests with the chance to win some great prizes in the following categories; Best Dressed, and the fine arts of ‘stein holding’ and ‘stein stacking.’
Admission to the 2022 Oktoberfest is just $10 at the door.
For those who can’t wait for the event to begin, the first 100 people through the gate will receive a souvenir beer stein.
Never mind about the prevailing mid-October weather conditions at the time of the event as all the fun will take place indoors and be held rain or shine.
