There will be a Community Prayer event on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Eastern Michigan State Fairgrounds in Imlay City, on the north side of the grounds. All are invited to come. This will be the third annual September prayer.
September is the month of beginnings and it is a good time to come together in faith and unity. We will be praying for our children and grandchildren, our families, our neighbors, our schools, our churches, our businesses and our governments. As the body of Christ, we have both the privilege and the responsibility to pray.
When its hard to understand things happening around us, we can be confident that God hears our prayers and stands ready to answer. Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble.”
Prayer is a very important part of the Christian life and seen throughout each book of the Bible. Prayer brings us unto the very presence of the sovereign almighty God and he hears us. Philippians 4:6 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God.”
So please come on Sunday and let us go forward to shine light and help others to have the hope that comes from God. May we give God glory and honor and may all know his great truth and love.
