Notice is hereby given that there will be a public hearing before the Almont Township Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the Almont Township Hall, 819 N. Main Street, Almont, MI 48003, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The purpose of the hearing is to consider a variance request from Thomas Marta of 6816 General Squier (44-001-029-002-00) from Almont Township Zoning Ord. 39, Article 2, Section 2.3.C – detached accessory building shall not be erected in any required or non-required front yard. Granting the variance would allow the property owner to construct an accessory building that would extend into the front yard by approx. fifteen feet. The property in question is currently zoned Agricultural/ Residential (Ag/R). All documents pertaining to said variances will be available for inspection at the Township Office during regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be available at the time and place of the meeting. All interested citizens will be given an opportunity to comment on this application. Written comments may be submitted up to the time of the meeting at the Township Hall.
