Rebecca Sue Muxlow, 69, of Brown City, MI peacefully passed away with her family at her side on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Becky was born September 17, 1952 in Pontiac, MI to the late Truman and the late Ernestine (Wardell) Smith.
Becky was one of nineteen children and resided in Imlay City, MI the majority of her youth. On October 10, 1970 she married Joseph Muxlow of Imlay City. Joe and Becky had seven children of their own: Scott, Jimmie Joe, April, William, Benjamin, Joshua, and Misty.
Becky worked at Ligon Brothers Manufacturing in Almont for several years. She was a devout Christian and attended Brown City Missionary Church and enjoyed volunteering for Vacation Bible School every year. Becky was all about her family and thoroughly enjoyed cookouts, watching grandchildren’s sports, and simply laughing. She loved getting together with her siblings and reminiscing. Becky was the Grandma to many family friends and took everyone in and loved them.
Becky is survived by her daughters, April Halbert and Misty (Kevin) Halbert; her son, William (Sara) Muxlow; her grandchildren, Kristopher, Allyssa, Mariah, David Jr., Benjamin, Avery, Winter, Amy, Jacob, Kevin, Bryer, Jayce, Taylar, Nikolas and Lauren; ten great-grandchildren; and several siblings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Muxlow; her sons, Scott Muxlow, Jimmie Joe Muxlow, Benjamin Muxlow, and Joshua Muxlow; her granddaughter, Kyleigh Halbert; and several siblings.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Burial followed in Imlay Township Cemetery.
