Lois Donnelly, age 90, of Davison, MI died Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility (Suncrest) of Lapeer, MI. Lois Frances Jessel was born February 12, 1932 in Mt. Clemens, MI. She was the daughter of the late Carl and the late Pauline (Nutting) Jessel. She married John C. Donnelly Sr. on July 1, 1950 in Lakeville, MI. Lois and John moved from Clarkston to Imlay City in 1968. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1978.
Lois was mostly a homemaker, raising her family, but through the years had been employed by several area businesses; Ligon Seatbelt Factory in Almont, MI, Palmer Paint Factory, and Al Brandt and Sons Carrots Farms in Imlay City, MI. Lois was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
Lois is survived by her daughters, Rosemary (Douglas) Davis of Imlay City, MI, Sally (Joe) Jimenez of Davison, MI, Kathleen (Ed) Behnke of Capac, MI, Patricia Donnelly of Madison, TN and Jane (Charles) Bromley of Attica, MI; sons, John (Susie) Donnelly Jr. of Sanger, CA and Michael Donnelly of Irwin, PA; sisters, Phyllis Jarrett of Missouri and Shirley Meeker of Gladwin, MI; and her half-brother, Larry Forton of Lapeer, MI. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and more than 50 great-grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, John Donnelly; daughter, Susan Rivera; and her sister, Joyce Black.
The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Crossroads Baptist Church, 6835 Weyer Road, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Jeff DuFour, pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will take place at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills, MI.
The family will be available for visitation from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 7 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City and 10-11 a.m., Thursday, September 8 at Crossroads Baptist Church.
