IMLAY CITY — Popular hometown guitarist/vocalist Mic Bez and his band are set to take the stage at the Lamb-Steele Park Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 7:30-9 p.m.

Bez is coming off a successful performance at the Imlay City Eagles Club, where he and the band drew a full house to the downtown venue.

Bez and the band’s Aug. 23 performance is being funded by the Imlay City Downtown Development Authority (DDA), which is utilizing grant funds from the Michigan Humanities Council.

DDA Director Lorrelei Natke encourages those planning to attend the concert to first stop by the Imlay City Farmers Market, which runs from 3-8 p.m. at the corner of Third and Main streets.

In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be moved inside the old Imlay City Fire Hall at 150 Third St. in the city’s downtown district.

On the radar

The Imlay City DDA’s 2022 Summer Concert series concludes on Tuesday, Aug. 30, with a performance by Genavieve Linkowski.

Linkowski, 17, resides in Goodrich. She first achieved public recognition during season 16 of American Idol, where all three judges voted to send her to the next round.

After first performing a rendition of OneRepublic’s “Lets Hurt Tonight,” Idol Judge Katy Perry coaxed Genavieve into performing a second song in Spanish.
