Gladys Micks, age 90, of Allenton (recently of Imlay City), MI died Saturday, June 11, 2022 at at Audrey’s Angels (formerly Heatherton Place) of Imlay City, MI. Gladys Marie Miller was born March 25, 1932 in Chatham, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of the late Alonzo and the late Annie (Cadotte) Miller. Gladys grew up in Wallaceburg, Ontario. She attended Wallaceburg schools. She married John Micks on May 21, 1949 in Wallaceburg, Ontario, Canada. Gladys and John moved to Macomb County, MI in the early 1950s before moving to Capac for 25-30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on March 10, 2004.

She was a home maker, raising her family.

Gladys was a member of the Imlay City Eagles Auxiliary 4082, St. Clair Council on Aging, and the Red Hat Society.

She loved to have neighborhood tea parties, garage sale-ing, bingo, shopping and journaling.

Gladys is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Green of Brown City, MI, JoAnne (Bob) Harrow of Romeo, MI, Betty Rozek of Allenton, MI, Patricia (Jeff) Foltz of Washington, MI, Olive Fargo of Memphis, MI and May Sandoval of Kansas City, MO; sons, John (Jill) Micks of Romeo, MI, Thomas (Sandy) Micks of Kansas City, MO and Albert (Anna) Micks of Kansas City, MO; her sister, Annabelle Bechard of Wallaceburg; and brother, Harold Miller of Wallaceburg. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Micks; daughters, Rose Mary Woosley, Margaret Connor and Annie Pasquerillo; and several brothers and sisters.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Ron Racini will officiate. Interment will take place at Christian Memorial Gardens West in Rochester Hills, MI.

The family will be available for visitation 2-5 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 15 and 10-11 a.m., Thursday, June 16 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.
