Craig Henderson, son of Marvin and Lucille Henderson of Twin Oaks Farm in Allenton, MI, was born at Bishop Hospital in Almont, MI on June 18, 1946 and died June 11, 2022. A farmer by birth and by passion, Craig assumed ownership of Twin Oaks in the 1970s.

Neighbors, Craig had known Dorothy L. Jones and her entire family all his life. Romance between Dorothy and Craig bloomed during adulthood. They married and worked side by side on the farm, producing both dairy and grain. If asked, Craig would admit that those years were the happiest of his life. It was during that period that the couple raised three daughters, spent a great deal of time with both of their families and had a wide circle of friends. It was not unusual for the couple to host large gatherings or card parties at the farm. Craig was nothing if not the life of the party. Those closest to him would describe him as quick witted and engaging.

A true family man, his children would report that he attended every school play, sporting event or social function. He was particularly proud of his daughter Marie, who demonstrated an extraordinary musical gift at the age of five. Craig and Dorothy would go on to nurture her talent and support her musical journey, well into adulthood. Craig was sincerely proud of all of his children and supported them in any way he could.

Craig is survived by his three daughters, Nora Marie Casorio (Richard Casorio), Liane Lucille Amama (Todd Amama) and Anna Kristie Lohmeier (Matt Lohmeier); and his four beautiful grandchildren, Tayler Josephine Shareef (Rami Shareef), Brendan Craig Casorio, Jared Richard Casorio and Christian Anthony Casorio.

Craig was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy L. Henderson; as well as his parents Marvin and Lucille Henderson; and his siblings, Marc Henderson, Alex Henderson and Alicia Henderson.

A combined celebration of life for both Dorothy and Craig Henderson will be held at West Berlin United Methodist Church, 905 Holmes Rd, Allenton, Michigan 48002. The service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. with a luncheon immediately following.
