TRI-CITY AREA —Almont netted a 7-1 win against visiting Imlay City in a Blue Water Area Conference girls’ tennis clash on Tuesday, May 10.
In individual action, Andrea Frederick fell by a 5-7, 5-7 top flight count to Hannah Sapp; Kaylee Brown obtained a 6-3, 7-5 win against Emma Kent at second singles; Jenna Hausmann secured a 6-0, 6-2 third flight victory over Drew Wetzel; and Makenna Karbel registered a 6-0, 6-0 triumph against Ginger Gottler at fourth singles.
As far as doubles action was concerned, Bella Moussiaux and Shelby Grewe posted a 6-4, 6-1 top flight win against Aubrey Sommer and Lily Makedonsky; plus Autumn Bletch and Hyley Goldstein collected a 6-0, 6-2 win against Vivian Graver and Karter Wetzel at second doubles.
The third doubles team of Avis Schapman and Natalie Frederick and the fourth doubles combination of Samantha Keller and Lauren Culver added victories by default to Almont’s cause.
