Irene Detroyer, age 77, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2022, in Kalispell, MT.

Irene graduated from St. Lawrence High School and married the father of her three children, Vic. She and Vic moved to Dryden, MI after living 30 years in Utica. Following 20 years in Dryden raising a family, she went to barber school and set off on an adventure ending up in gorgeous Kalispell, MT. It was there that she opened her barbershop named Clippers, and the customers she loved made her laugh daily and stayed with her until the day she retired 25 years later. She went to be with the Lord after a long and courageous battle with clinical depression. She will be missed dearly by all her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Dave Knoll; her children, Cindy (Tim Leary) VandenBulcke, Jerry (Annette) VandenBulcke and Renee Kment; along with her grandchildren, Nathan, Jacob and Grace; her siblings, Delores (Bob) Blake, Maryann (Tom) Janicki, John (Julia) Detroyer, Barb Detroyer Goike and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Detroyer; and the father of her children, Vic VandenBulcke.

A memorial service will be held on May 20, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. Cornelius Church in Dryden, MI.
