Roger Eichbrecht, age 93, of Romeo, MI died Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Henry Ford Macomb of Clinton Township, MI. Roger Charles Eichbrecht was born October 25, 1928 in Romeo, MI. He was the son of the late Julius and the late Olive (Fox) Eichbrecht. Roger grew up in Utica, MI. He was a graduate of Utica High School, Class of 1947. He married Elaine Fiebelkorn on August 5, 1950 in Utica, MI. Roger and Elaine moved to the Attica/ Metamora area in 1975 and just recently moved to Romeo, MI.

He owned and operated two Roger’s Mobil Service Stations; one in Utica, MI at Clinton River Rd. and Van Dyke Rd., and the other in Shelby Township at 24 Mile Rd. and Shelby Rd.; for 30-plus years before retiring in 1993. After retiring from operating his own service stations, Roger was employed by Tom Harris Chevy Olds in Imlay City and Thomas Ford in Lapeer.

Roger was a very active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Imlay City, MI. He was a catechism teacher, an usher, and Eucharistic minister. Roger was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady Queen of Peace. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, and traveling, having traveled to 28 states in the United States.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Elaine Eichbrecht; sons, Michael (Ann) Eichbrecht of Washington Twp., MI, Bill (Lynn) Eichbrecht of Livonia, MI and Dan (Jill) Eichbrecht of Little River, SC; his brother, Dave (Judy) Eichbrecht of Lewiston, MI; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Roger was preceded in death by his son, Richard Eichbrecht; daughter, Patricia Wisdom; and his sister, Betty Leveranz.

The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 700 Maple Vista, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Fr. Noel Cornelio, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

The family will be available for visitation 10-11 a.m., Friday, April 22 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
