Zola Mae Rogers, age 87, of Dryden, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022. She was born May 30, 1934, the daughter of John (Mildred) Bridges in Risco, Missouri. She graduated from Pontiac High School. She married her husband Kenneth M. Malone who preceded her in death and then married Rodney L. Rogers who also preceded her in death. She worked at General Motors Proving Grounds for 30 years. She stayed active all year around, being on a golf league in the summer and a bowling league in the winter. She was an avid Elvis fan, traveling to Graceland attending his museum and home. She enjoyed traveling to the casinos.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Cindy) Malone of Drummond Island, Patricia (Mark) Daniel of Highland and Jimmy (Ida) Rogers of Oxford; her grandchildren, Tamias (Lisa) Malone of Drummond Island, Michael (Amy) Barber of Georgia, Kasey (Lauren) Malone of Lapeer, Brandi (Ryan) Trosen of Fenton, Mark Daniel II (Carolyn Paielli) of Brighton, Ashley (Mike) Nevells of Hartland, Hannah Rogers and James Rogers of Oxford. Also surviving are siblings, Joyce Hill, Lindall (Pat) Bridges and Tom (Shirley) Bridges.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth M. Malone; her husband, Rodney L. Rogers; her parents, John and Mildred Bridges; her siblings, Bill Bridges, Vodra Bridges and Eddie Bridges.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 11 a.m., at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, 2650 S. Van Dyke, Imlay City, MI 48444.

Donations can be made to the Lapeer High School Band in Nathan and Kylie Young’s name.
