Libraries in Imlay City & Attica plan celebrations for April 4-9
IMLAY CITY/ATTICA — All are invited to celebrate National Library Week (April 4-9) at the Ruth Hughes Memorial District libraries in Imlay City and Attica.
To mark the occasion, Ruth Hughes’ Youth Services Coordinator Lorry Traver said the library will be hosting a variety of fun-filled activities and giveaways.
“We invite everyone to stop by the library and share their favorite book-related quote by dropping them off during open hours,” Traver said. “Or they can be emailed to publicuser@ruthhughes.org.”
Traver said visitors can also participate in a fun game of ‘Guess Who,’ daily candy guessing jars for young people ages 4-18 and a connect-the-dots coloring contest.
“Throughout the week, those age 18 and up will be entered into a gift card drawing each time they check out library materials,” Traver added. “They will also receive a snack every time they share or recommend a favorite book or author.”
For more details, visit the library’s website at www.ruthhughes.org or contact Lorry Traver at 810-724-8043 in Imlay City or 810-724-2007 in Attica.
