Lions and DDA hosting annual community events
ALMONT — The Almont Lions Club and Almont DDA will again be teaming up to host Almont’s Harvest Festival on Sept. 16-17.
DDA Director Kim Schall said the event will offer most of the same activities as previous festivals, including numerous activities for children and families.
Schall said this year’s musical headliner will be again be the Family Tradition Band, to perform Friday, Sept. 16, inside the festival’s refreshment tent.
Candy hunt at park
Schall said the Almont Lions Club will also be hosting its traditional Easter Candy Hunt at Almont Community Park on Saturday, April 16, starting at 11 a.m.
She added that the “Easter Bunny” is planning to make a special appearance during the event.
Almont Community Park is located east of Van Dyke (M-53), at the foot of Water Street.
