Mary Atherton, age 65, of Capac, MI died Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at her home. Mary Rosetta Atherton was born September 24, 1956 in Mayville, MI. She was the daughter of the late William and the late Shirley (Stratton) Atherton. Mary grew up in Imlay City, MI. She was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1975.
She was employed as an extrusion mold machine operator by Alco Plastics in Romeo, MI for 20 years.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Roseanne Lyne Atherton; sister, Marsha Atherton of Cut Bank, MT; nephew, Robert Matthew Atherton; and her niece, Holly Louise Atherton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Shirley Atherton; sister, Emma Atherton; and her brothers, Lyle Atherton and William “Walter” Atherton.
The funeral will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Pastor Patrick Lothrop, pastor of West Goodland United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Capac Cemetery.
The family will be available for visitation 10-12 noon, Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
