ATTICA TWP. β Lapeer County FFA and Stone Soup Food Bank will host their annual Project Raising HOPE Sweetheart Breakfast this coming Sunday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Lapeer County Ed Tech Center.
Guests can dine in or carry out a sausage and pancake breakfast. Also, tours of the animal center, greenhouses and flower shop will be conducted by FFA members that day.
Proceeds from the event will support Project Raising HOPE which facilitates the raising of animals for meat at the Ed Tech Center that is distributed to families in need through the Stone Soup Food Bank.
βIn the past year, Project Raising HOPE has provided 4,408 pounds of meat and over 17,500 meals to the Lapeer County community,β Lapeer County FFA advisor Tammy Hyatt and the 2021-22 Lapeer County FFA Officer Team said in a letter to supporters.
In addition to serving as a fundraiser, the breakfast is also a celebration of National FFA Week which is marked nationally from Feb. 19-27.
