Mario Zepeda-Barragan, age 37, of Imlay City, MI died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 as a result of an auto accident in Almont, MI. Mario Jesus Zepeda-Barragan was born November 16, 1984 in Quitupan, Jalisco, Mexico. He was the son of Juan and Consuelo Zepeda-Barragan. He was married to Olga Zepeda-Barragan.

Mario grew up in Quitupan, Jalisco, Mexico. He attended Imlay City High School after the family moved into the area. Mario’s family has lived in the Imlay City area about 23 years. Mario was a self-employed landscaper working in residential construction in the area.

Mario is survived by his wife, Olga Zepeda-Barragan; and his children, Kimberly Zepeda, Mario Zepeda, Camila Zepeda and Ximena Zepeda all of Imlay City. Also surviving are his parents, Juan and Consuelo Zepeda-Barragan of Quitupan, Jalisco, Mexico; brothers and sisters: Domitila, Esther, Macaria, Ana Maria, Consuelo, Dora, Juan, Jose and Erika; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 700 Maple Vista, Imlay City, MI. Rev. Fr. Noel Cornelio, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the La Lagunilla Municipio Cemetery in Quitupan, Jalisco, Mexico.

The family will be available for visitation 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, February 9 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Imlay City.

The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City.
