Lucille Lamphere, age 85, of Attica, MI passed away peacefully with her children by her side, Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital. Lucille Leona Schank was born September 29, 1936 in North Branch, MI. She was the daughter of the late George Sr. and the late Josephine (Vielhaber) Schank. Lucille grew up and lived most of her life in the North Branch and Attica areas. She attended North Branch High School. Lucille married Edwin Lamphere on June 27, 1953. Edwin preceded her in death.

She was employed by Lapeer Metal Products in Lapeer, MI. Lucille held several different positions: quality inspector, shipping and receiving, and tool crib attendant before retiring after 40 years. Lucille attended St. Cornelius, Sacred Heart, St. Peter and Paul and Immaculate Conception Catholic churches. She became a very faithful woman. She loved her children, grandchildren, ballroom dancing, playing bingo, garage sale-ing and traveling. Lucille was a very generous and strong woman.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Dianne (Randy) Plumley of Attica, MI; sons, Randolph “Randy” Lamphere of Attica, MI and Gerald “Jerry” (Judene) Lamphere of North Branch, MI; her sisters, Mary Hall of Kings Mill, MI and Catherine Miglin of Burton, MI; and her brother, Duane Schank of Mayville, MI. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Austin Lee McLellan, Jenna Lamphere, Jessica Lamphere, Jordan Lamphere, and Ashley (Brad) Irvan; and her great-grand daughter, Kayla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Lamphere; parents, George and Josephine Schank, Sr.; her siblings, Gertie, Archie, Clarence, Edward, George Jr., Paul and Raymond; and her daughter-in-law, Marie Lamphere.

The Funeral Mass was held Friday, January 28, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 700 Maple Vista, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Fr. Noel Cornelio, pastor of Sacred Heart, officiated.

In late springtime, Lucille’s cremated remains will be interred beside her beloved Ed at Arcadia Township Cemetery, Lum, MI.
