IMLAY CITY — Imlay City netted a 45-31 road win at Algonac’s expense in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls’ basketball meeting last Thursday night.
With the outcome, Imlay City goes to 11-2 and 8-0.
In Thursday’s meeting, Imlay City spotted Algonac an 11-9 edge after one quarter was done.
The middle two quarters saw Imlay City generate 34 total points and Algonac manage 10, leaving them up 43-21 after 24 minutes.
Imlay City then withstood a 10-2 fourth quarter rally, claiming a 45-31 win.
Mary Lengemann paced Imlay City with 22 points. Dakota Deel (nine points), Lexa Forti (eight), Alyssa Evans and Ana Lengemann (two each) plus Chloe Bruman and Lily Lengemann (one apiece) supported her performance.
