Glen Vlieg, age 61, of Glendale, AZ and Marlette, MI, died Friday, January 14, 2022 at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ. Glen Alan Vlieg was born July 30, 1960 in Almont, MI. He was the son of the late Zwier and the late Margie (Mulder) Vlieg. He grew up in Almont, MI and later moved to Marlette, MI area. Glen spent his summers on the family dairy farm in Marlette, MI and his winters in Glendale, AZ since 2003.
He took joy in attending Potters House Christian Fellowship Church in Cass City, MI during his summers. Glen liked to drive his Gator around to ‘supervise’ and help on the family dairy farm. While in Arizona, he enjoyed gardening, especially tomatoes.
Glen is survived by his siblings, Beth Van Alstine of Lynchburg, VA, JoAnn Garlinger of Glendale, AZ, Robert Vlieg of Marlette, MI, Leonard Vlieg of Bullhead, AZ and Clifford Vlieg of Laughlin, NV; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his close family friend, Peggy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Zwier and Margie Vlieg.
A funeral service was held Thursday, January 27, 2022 in the mausoleum at Imlay Township Cemetery, 682 N. Fairgrounds Rd., Imlay City, MI. Pastors Garth Hazzard and Juan Martinez, of Potter House Christian Fellowship, officiated.
Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.
