Dinner-dance and ceremony plans moved to April 2

IMLAY CITY — Due to the pandemic and high COVID-19 case numbers, the Imlay City Chamber of Commerce has opted to postpone their annual Gala event.

Originally scheduled for February 5, the dinner-dance and awards ceremony will instead be held on Saturday, April 2 at Castle Creek Golf Club in Lum.

As a result of the date being pushed back, there’s now more time for local residents to submit nominations for the Chamber’s Citizen of the Year, Merit Award and Organization of the Year.

Executive Director Shannon Hamel said nominations will now be accepted until Feb. 11.

To submit a nomination or purchase tickets—cost is $45 each— contact the chamber’s Shannon Hamel at 810-542-3256, executivedirector@imlaycitymich.com or visit the chamber office at 335 E. Third Street in downtown Imlay City.
