Barry Dale Forro, 79, of Emmett Township, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, in the comfort of his home.

He was born April 20, 1942, in Utica, the son of the late Edward and Marjorie (Bergeron) Forro.

His marriage to Deane Smith was March 21, 1970, in Leonard, MI.

Barry was a 1962 graduate of Peck High School and was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He worked at General Motors, Pontiac, for 42 years until his retirement in 2007. He was also a member of the United Auto Workers. Barry was a member of the Capac United Methodist Church, Capac, and served as a trustee on the church board for many years. He loved Mustangs and won many trophies drag racing them. He enjoyed farming, loved to barter goods, Nascar, and traveling with family. Barry loved to listen to Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and Detroit Lions Football.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Deane of 52, years; are a son, Dale (Kim) of Fowlerville; two daughters, Tamara Forro of Ann Arbor and Tonya (Derek) Haberski of Imlay City; two granddaughters, Izabella and Jazmine; two sisters, Verneda (Gerry) Dover and Jill Wise; a half brother, Mark Hebert; and a step-brother, Dwight Forro; his aunt and uncle, Ray and Elaine Grimes; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Marjorie; his stepfather, John Hebert; and a brother, Michael Forro.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 26 with 10 a.m. visiting at Capac United Methodist Church. Rev. Lisa Clark, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Christian Memorial Gardens West, Rochester.
