CAPAC — Capac fell by a 60-35 count to visiting Ubly in a Greater Thumb Conference varsity boys’ basketball game last Wednesday.
In Wednesday’s game, Ubly jumped out to a 13-4 advantage after one quarter was over with.
The next two quarters saw Ubly accumulate 29 total points and Capac manage 17, giving the former a 42-21 advantage with 24 minutes elapsed.
Ubly then outscored Capac 18-14 the rest of the way, good for a 60-35 victory when the final buzzer sounded.
Jared Fahley and Gavin Ruesegger (eight points, including a pair of trifectas, each) paced Capac. They were backed by Carlos Uribe-Arce (five points, featuring a trey), Luke Coltson, Nolan Maday and Wyatt Hurley (four each) plus Vinicio Ramirez (two).
