LAPEER — Fans of country music artist Toby Keith won’t want to miss ‘The American Ride’ Toby Keith tribute coming to the PIX Theater on Sat., Jan. 15 at 7:30 p.m.

Beloved Toby Keith impersonator Mike Sugg has the looks, build and voice to deliver like no one else aside from Keith himself, says Katie Beth Chrismer of the Lapeer Center for the Arts in a press release.

“Sugg is so convincing in the role he is able to impress even the people who know Toby Keith personally,” Chrismer says.

Sugg has headlined at Harrah’s Casino & Resort in Laughlin and in Reno, Nevada. He has been featured on the 2013 ACM Awards red carpet, performed in three countries, and has even performed at Toby Keith’s own “I Love This Bar” in Oklahoma.

“Sugg has been performing his American Ride tribute as the Big Dog Daddy for nearly ten years,” Chrismer says. “He takes pride in the certainty that his shows are always personalized, whether that be with a simple meet and greet or, as those in the PIX audience will get, the full band experience.”

The shows are centered around the good time country party music of superstar singer Toby Keith, Chrismer adds, from his first hit, ‘Should’ve Been a Cowboy’ to his latest hit, ‘That’s Country Bro.’

Suggs’ band consists of a renowned group of professional musicians that help him bring the Toby Keith sound to audiences around the Midwest.
