Raquel Janeane Ashmore, age 52, of Lapeer and formerly of Dryden, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021. She was born November 6, 1969, the daughter of Howard and Madeleine (Williams) Graves, in Rochester. She graduated from Romeo High School and went on to work at General Motors at the Hamtramck Assembly Plant then at the Truck & Bus plant in Flint. She was a member of the UAW. AC/DC and Kiss were her favorite bands. She loved animals; currently having three cats. Raquel enjoyed the outdoors and loved taking trips with her family to their cabin in Pentwater.
Raquel is survived by her mother, Madeleine Graves of Rochester; her beloved children, Michael (Megan) Smith of Dryden, Jane (Garrett) Wagner of Lapeer and Trace (Vince) Vasquez of Dryden; and adored grandchild, Andrew Wagner of Lapeer. She is also survived by her siblings, Howard (Kate) Graves, Angie (Chris) Hansen and Harley Graves. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Graves.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 3-8 p.m. at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, 2650 South Van Dyke, Imlay City.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10-11 a.m. and the luncheon will follow at 12 p.m., all at Muir Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center.
