James “Jim” Denault, age 64, a longtime resident of Attica, formerly of Allenton and Roseville, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 surrounded by his family at home. He was born July 5, 1957, the son of Frank “Rich” and Nancy (Garner) Denault in Detroit. He attended Sacred Heart School until 8th grade and graduated from Roseville High School and then attended Macomb Community College. He began as a journeyman die maker at OHM Manufacturing in Warren. He later became a controls engineer and retired from Dominion Technologies after 30 years. He was a 4th degree member of the Our Lady Queen of Peace, Knights of Columbus Council #4556.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey of Attica; his children, Scott (Marianne) of Livonia, Allen (Jolene) Denault of Imlay City, and Kevin Denault of Attica; and grandchildren, Lola, Damien, Henry and Genevieve. Jim is also survived by his siblings, Sharon (Ed) Lashier, Carol Denault, Diane (Ted) Gladden, Daniel (Maryann) Denault, Frank Denault and Karen (Dan) Lackowski; and many nieces, nephew, and cousins. He also leaves his golden Retriever Abby, that would never leave his side.
He is predeceased by his parents, Frank “Rich” and Nancy Denault.
There was a Rosary said Monday, December 20, 2021 at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, 2650 South Van Dyke, Imlay City, MI 48444.
The Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 3834 N. Mill St., Dryden, MI 48428 with Father Mike Gawlowski officiating.
The memorial luncheon followed Mass at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, 2650 South Van Dyke, Imlay City, MI 48444.
