Candidates must file applications by Jan. 7
ALMONT — Almont Community Schools is seeking an individual to fill vacant seat on the Almont Board of Education.
The seat had previously been occupied by longtime board member John Miles, who recently tendered his resignation.
Those interested in serving on the school board must submit a “notice of interest” via email to: mcampbell@almontschools.org no later than Jan. 7, 2022.
As an option, candidates can drop off their “notices of interest” from Jan. 3-7 at the Almont School Board Offices located at 4701 Howland Rd.
Notices should be dropped off between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years old and a registered voter in the Almont school district.
The individual selected to fill the vacant seat will hold office until Dec. 22, 2022; and must file an acceptance of office.
Interviews of candidates will take place the evening of Jan. 10, 2022.
