CAPAC — The village council has selected six manager candidates to interview next week.
At their Monday night meeting, with the help of Amy Cell of Amy Cell Talent, they narrowed the field of 10 candidates down to those who most interested them. Cell said that a total of 20 people applied.
The council was presented with a packet of information about each including their desired working hours and compensation expectations. The council initially started their search for a part-time manager but have since said they would be open to considering employing someone full-time.
The council hopes to interview in-person some or all of the six finalists on Thursday, December 16, starting at 4 p.m. They include Aaron Stahly, DPW director for the city of Auburn Hills; Christopher Frazer, executive assistant for the city of Vassar; Elke Doom, Eastpointe city manager; Lisa Lulis, Capac’s village clerk; Ted Andrzejewski, village administrator in Cadiz, Ohio and Travis Youatt, village clerk/administrator for the village of Sebewaing.
A location for the interviews had yet to be confirmed as of press time on Tuesday.
