ALMONT — Almont placed three of their players on the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Division 6, Region 3 team which was announced recently.
Brandon Hunsaker, a senior, garnered attention at a linebacker spot.
This past fall he supplied 25 solos and 72 assisted stops.
Mason Smith, a senior, made the lineup for his prowess as a defensive back. He wound up with 21 solo tackles, 38 assisted stops and registered one forced fumble en route.
Matthew Measel, a junior runningback, was the other Almont player recognized for his play.
This past fall Measel rushed the ball for a Tri-City Area best output of 698 yards on 82 totes, an average of 8.5 yards per carry, while collecting nine touchdowns.
He also caught 17 passes for 196 yards, an average of 11.5 yard per reception, with three touchdowns.
