Linda Bailey, age 73, of Attica, MI died Sunday, October 31, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Linda Marie Schalau was born December 24, 1947 in North Branch, MI. She was the daughter of the late Harry and the late Mildred Irene (Snover) Schalau.

She lived in the Attica and Imlay City areas most of her life. She had attended Buckingham Country School and she was a graduate of Lapeer Community High School, Class of 1966.

She married Billie Elmo Bailey on July 22, 1967 in Imlay City, MI.

Linda had worked in medical billing for McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital and for Dr. Stenz in Lapeer for several years. She had been a Bishop Kelly Catholic School “recess mom.” Linda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, garage sale-ing, and gardening.

Linda is survived by her husband, Billie Bailey of Attica; daughters, Rebecca (Larry) Grumley of Attica, MI and Bethany (Dennis) Bills of Lapeer, MI; her son, Anthony Bailey of Attica, MI; sisters, Mildred Yoder and Karen Carpenter; and brothers, Richard (Diane) Schalau and Walter (Marcia) Schalau. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kyrie (Blaine) Howell, Bryce (Geralyn) Grumley, Dennis Bills, Peyton (Katie) Bailey, Bailey Bills, Paige Bailey; and great-grandson, Jaxson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mildred Schalau; and brothers, Henry, Paul, Gregory and Edward.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 700 Maple Vista, Imlay City, MI. The Reverend Father Noel Cornelio will be officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Imlay City.

The family will be available for visiting hours from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI and from 10:30-11 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 700 Maple Vista, Imlay City, MI.
