Guadalupe Villalpando, age 86, of Bruce Township, MI died Monday, October 25, 2021 at William Beaumont Hospital of Troy, MI. Guadalupe Villalpando was born September 25, 1935 in Texas. He was the son of the late Victor and the late Felipa (Pereda) Villalpando. Guadalupe grew up in Michigan. He was a graduate of Imlay City High School. He married Alicia Gutierrez on November 19, 1955 in Croswell, Michigan. Guadalupe and Alicia moved to the Romeo, MI area in 1968. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alicia, in 1987.

He was employed for many years as a tool grinder and machinist.

Guadalupe is survived by his daughter, Ann Villalpando Owens (John Brazil) of Capac, MI; son, Leonard (Karen) Villalpando of Sterling Heights, MI; his sister, Esther Mata; and his grandchildren, Lucas Villalpando, Trevor Dean Owens, and Ellen (Jason) Skidmore.

He is also survived by his partner of 19 years, Janice Brunk; her children, Steve Brunk, Laura Brunk and Patty (Guy) Kitchen; and Janice’s grandchildren, Jessica Kitchen, Amanda Kitchen and Rachel Kitchen.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by his wife, Alicia Villalpando.

The funeral was held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Pastor Herb Harbaugh, pastor of Memorial Baptist Church, officiated. Interment followed at Ferguson Cemetery in Almont, MI.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
