Martie Hrabcak, age 84, of Attica, MI died Friday, October 22, 2021 at Stonegate Health Campus of Lapeer, MI. Martha Sue Wilkins was born December 13, 1936 in Warren, MI. She was the daughter of the late Brady and the late Mary (Rector) Wilkins. She grew up in Warren, MI where she attended Fitzgerald High School. She married Raymond Hrabcak on August 4, 1956 in Warren, MI. Ray preceded her in death in 2017. They have lived in the Dryden and Attica areas since 1958.

Martie and Ray were charter members of Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dryden. They were very active in the church while they lived in Dryden.

She was a school bus driver in the Dryden Community School District for 17 years.

In retirement, they lived in a 55 and over community in Davenport, FL for several years. While living in Florida, they volunteered for a very special foundation every week, “Give Kids the World Foundation” (part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation). Marty and Raymond would direct kids from all over the world. Children and their families could stay in one of the villas at “Give Kids the World” in a Disney-like atmosphere and then from there, the children and their families would go to Disney. At one time they were sworn-in deputies for the Polk County Sherriff’s Department.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Theodore) Davis of Knoxville, TN and Kellene (Tom) Haggadone of Lapeer, MI; son, Kevin (Marcella) Hrabcak of Davenport, FL; her grandchildren, Michael Winafeld, Jessica Winafeld, Krista Price, Andrew (Rayne) Hrabcak, Alex Hrabcak, Carri Hrabcak, Grace Hrabcak, Ryan (Amelia) Haggadone and Preston (Jessica) Haggadone; and ten great-grandchildren.

Martie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; parents; her sister, Shirley (Earl) Legree; and her infant grandson, Brady Raymond Hrabcak.

The funeral service will be held ay 12 noon, Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church, 4538 Dryden Road, Dryden, MI. Reverend Evan Veen will officiate.

A private interment service, where Martie’s cremated remains will be placed next to her husband Raymond, will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI at a later date. The family will be available for visitation 10 a.m. – 12 noon, Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church. A luncheon will follow the service at Holy Redeemer Church.
