LAPEER — This Saturday, October 23, the PIX Theatre is set to host performances by magician Doug Scheer and the musical group Full Throttle.
The Scheer Magic Halloween Show is due to take place at 2:30 p.m.
“Come celebrate Halloween with Doug— kids are welcome to come in costume! The kids are the stars of this show as Doug brings them onto the stage to help with his zany, hysterical brand of magic. Be prepared to laugh ’til it hurts,” the PIX said in a press release.
The magic show is free of charge thanks to the generosity of the Family Fun Series sponsors but attendees are encouraged to call or stop by the PIX Box Office to reserve tickets in advance.
Full Throttle takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday with their take on popular songs from the 1950s, 60s and 70s from groups like The Cadillacs, The Drifters, and Dion and the Belmonts.
“The core group members decided to take their love of a cappella and use it to preserve the Street Corner harmonies of the ’50s. Over the years, the members have come together to deliver these sweet harmonies to countless audiences,” the theatre said in promotional material.
Tickets in advance are $18 for adults and $16 for students, seniors, and veterans. At the door, prices will go up to $20 for adults and $18 for students, seniors, and veterans.
To purchase tickets in advance, visit the PIX Box Office located inside Gallery 194, Tuesdays through Saturdays 12-6 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased over the phone at 810-664-4824 or online at www.centerfortheartslapeer.org.
