Michael James Strachan, age 62, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 with his wife by his side. He was born September 5, 1959, the son of Andrew and Rosemary (Rowloff) Strachan in Detroit. Michael attended Memphis High School. He married Carole Ann in Las Vegas on May 23, 2001. Michael loved going on Harley trips with his wife and his biker friends, was an avid NASCAR fan and he dearly loved his rotties. Michael is survived by his loving wife Carole Ann (Lippincott) of Imlay City, his beloved children Linda Pegelo of Harrison Twp., Michelle Strachan of Chesterfield Twp., Michael Strachan Jr. of Shelby Twp., Rebecca Strachan of Shelby Twp., and Devin (Valerie Randall) Strachan of Imlay City. Michael’s legacy lives on through his grandchildren Kayden Strachan, Noah Jackson, Na’riyah Jackson, Peter Arena, Isabella Pegelo, Kenneth Pegelo, Mikayla LaFramboise, Pixie Wright, Ryder Strachan, Mikayla Ball, Carter Belanger, Ariannah Belanger, Lainey Belanger, and Mason Belanger. Michael is also survived by his siblings Linda (Ben) Deman of Kimball, Chuck Strachan of Port Huron, Mark Strachan of Emmet and Jayson (Kory) Strachan of Heber City, Utah; step-mother Virginia Strachan of Pennsylvania and many nieces and nephews. He is alsdo survived by his mother-in-law Carol Lippincott of Port Huron, father-in-law Dallas Lippincott of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, brothers-in-law:David (Tracy) Lippincott of Waterford and Russell (Lauren) Ferguson of Evansville, Indiana.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Rosemary, his sister, Robin Strachan, his daughter Rachel Belanger and his grandson Iziek Joseph Muphy and his mother-in-law Melody Lippincott.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 12:00pm with viewing from 10:00am – 12:00pm at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center 2650 S. Van Dyke – Imlay City. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. All the arrangements will be held at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center (2650 S. Van Dyke Rd.
