Beverly Vaubel, age 74, of Attica, MI died Sunday, October 10, 2021 at her home in Attica. Beverly Jeanne Leix was born March 27, 1947 in Lapeer, MI. She was the daughter of the late Wilfred and the late Madeline (Valentine) Leix. Beverly grew up around Fostoria, MI and was a graduate of Millington High School, Class of 1965. Bev worked as a civilian employee for the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C. for a few years. That is where Bev and Butch met, in Washington, D.C., while Butch was stationed there when serving in the U.S. Army.
She married Butch Vaubel on July 22, 1967 in Mayville, MI. They were married for 54 years. Bev and Butch moved to Attica in 1981.

She was the most caring woman and the most amazing ‘MOM’ ever. She loved many things and was pretty talented at most of them. She loved to garden (especially daylilies, she had 200-plus varieties of them), cook, and make crafts; but what she loved the most was to be with her family. Her family meant the most to her. Bev enjoyed spending time and playing with her grandkids and great-grandkids, going to their sporting events, choir and band concerts, and talent shows and plays. She was their biggest fan and taught them lessons they will always remember. Bev was always there no matter what. She was the biggest supporter and a very loyal friend to anyone around her. She was always looking out for her community; donating items and volunteering for events.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Butch Vaubel of Attica; her children, Eric (Deborah) Vaubel of Lapeer, MI, Scott (Ahlissa) Vaubel of Attica, MI, Shannon Vaubel of Milan, MI and Tiana Vaubel of Shelby Twp., MI; sisters, Patricia (Archie) Nelson of Millington, MI and Teri Leix of Millington, MI; brothers, Richard (Lynda) Leix of Mesa, AZ, Ronald (Geneva) Leix of Fostoria, MI and Wayne (Cheryl) Leix of Millington, MI. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Alyssa (Ryan) Rider, Kayla (Jerry) LaFave, Ericka (Gabriela Adams) Dixon, Kory (Lin) Schocke, Hanna Vaubel, Damian Vaubel, Cameron Vaubel and Veronica Vaubel; great-grandchildren, Preston Vaubel, Landen Guerrero, Elayna Rider, Paisley LaFave, Jameson LaFave; and her stepmother, Shirley Leix.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Madeline Leix; and her brother-in-law, Robert Smith.
