
Almont’s Bella Moussiaux lands her shot on the green at the BWAC Tourney.
TRI-CITY AREA — The Almont girls’ golf team (412) outshot Armada (459), Yale (460), Imlay City (535), Richmond and Lutheran Northwest (539 each) and North Branch (612) en route to a first-place finish at the Blue Water Area Conference Tournament last Thursday.
Holly Meadows Golf Course, in Capac, provided the tournament venue.
Jesse Kautz led Almont with a medalist round of 84 over 18 holes. The Raiders also counted Lillian Winkler’s 104, Bella Moussiaux’s 108 and Nora Sinistaj’s 118.
Dakota Deel paced Imlay City with a 108. She was backed by Madison Hall (139), Alicia Riker (140) and Hannah Heeke (148).
All-BWAC- MVP Jesse Kautz, of Almont, headlines the team. She is joined on the first team by Almont’s Bella MoWinkler; Armada’s Ella Arnold; Yale’s Haley Miracle and Kate Lossing; Imlay City’s Dakota Deel; and Richmond’s Haile Krywy.
Taylor Garabedian, of Almont, also secured a spot on the honorable mention portion of the lineup.
Final BWAC standings- 1) Almont; 2) Armada; 3) Yale; 4) Lutheran Northwest; 5) Richmond; 6) Imlay City; and 7) North Branch.
