The Almont Community Park Board members were elated to present seven concerts, all with great weather, that brought many talented musicians to our community for the Music in the Park 2021 series. It was especially nice to present a concert series this year after not having one in 2020 because of COVID.

We would like the community to know we had 100 percent sponsorship for all the bands, and no tax money was used.

We send our sincere “thank you” to the Almont Community; all concert attendees from Almont and other communities.

Thank you to the bands: Surf Zup, The Music Man, Bob Marshall Band, Jason Charles Band, Vitale & The Verdicts, The Hackwells and 3rd Degree Burns. They all were wonderful performers.

And of course, we want to thank to our generous sponsors: Gear Master, Ligon Farms, Creekside, Charlie Brown’s, Tri-County Bank, Edward Jones/Andy Roosa, the Yarbrough Insurance Group and Randazzo Jewelers. These are community-minded representatives.

We also want to acknowledge the Almont Lions Club. This great group handles the park concession stand and other things as needed.

Thanks to our office personnel at Almont Village and Township, who work hard to field calls for information and other matters. And a sincere thanks to our Almont Village DPW, whose personnel keep the park’s grounds clean and pristine.

Thanks also to Tri-City Times and Tom Wearing, who is always available to assist with our events, and for providing our notices and information and pictures to the community.

Our concerts in the park take months of preparation, as well as prayers for good weather and the involvement of park board members. Hopefully we can present the concerts series again next year, and have an even greater attendance.

Any bands that would like to present their music to us for possible scheduling, can contact me, Roberta Kudsin, Park Board secretary, at rkudsin@almonttownship.org.

Again, thank you to everyone.

Almont Township Treasurer
