Faithann “Faith” Ludwig, age 55, of Attica, MI died Thursday, September 9, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She fought a tough battle with breast cancer for the past 1 1/2 years. Faithann Van Volkenburg was born February 23, 1966 in Pontiac, MI. She was the daughter of Abe and June (Ulch) Van Volkenburg. She grew up in Capac, MI. Faith was a graduate of Capac High School, Class of 1985. She married Rick Ludwig on April 4, 1986 in Lapeer, MI. Faith and Rick have lived in Attica for the past six years.
She was employed as a clerk and cashier by Kroger grocery store in Imlay City for 10 years. Prior to working at Kroger, Faith was employed by Farmer Jack and A&P grocery stores.
Faith adored her grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them all her traits and qualities. They were her life. She always participated in her daughter’s and grandchildren’s school and family life. She also liked to spend time, dine, and go to the movies with friends
She is survived by her husband, Rick Ludwig; her daughter, Jessica (Cory) Fischer of Lapeer, MI; parents, Abe and June Van Volkenburg; her sisters, Lisa Van Volkenburg of Soth Carolina and Theresa Van Volkenburg of Indiana; and her grandchildren, Alysa Kitchen, Adison Kitchen, Owen Fischer and SadieAnn Fischer.
Faith was preceded in death by her brothers, Abe Van Volkenburg, Jr. and Scott Van Volkenburg.
The funeral was held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Pastor Thomas Blount, pastor of Heritage Church, officiated. Interment followed at Arcadia Township Cemetery in Lum, MI.
Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
